One of the greatest hardships facing the insurance industry is an organizational challenge to attract new talent. According to McKinsey & Company, 25 percent of the insurance workforce is nearing retirement, while a lack of incumbent talent is making it difficult to prepare for the impending skills gap.

One way to address these issues is through a quality Internship/Apprenticeship program that builds the pool of licensed insurance professionals.  NAIP programs will:

  • Provide a major step forward towards helping to address a national crisis in the insurance industry to attract, train and retain new talent.

  • Encourage careers in insurance and financial services among demographic groups traditionally underrepresented within the industry.

  • Provide an opportunity for persons 17.5 years of age or older to become well trained in all areas of insurance in less than two years.

  • Create a structure that enhances the likelihood new entrants will remain in the insurance and financial services industry and increases their chances of success.

By challenging existing paradigms of the insurance industry, NAIP seeks to attract the next-generation of insurance professional that will carry the industry into the remainder of the 21st century and beyond.
